Winnick: The Vikings’ Lagertha actress stands near her country as Putin plans to invade Ukraine
Katheryn Winnick played Lagertha in “Vikings”
Canadian actress Katheryn Winnick on Tuesday expressed her support for Ukraine amid reports that Russia could invade her homeland.
Posting it on Instagram, Winnick shared his photo with the caption, “Stop near Ukraine.”
The actor became world famous for his role in the hit TV series “Vikings”.
He starred in the film “Vikings” as Lagertha, Ragnar’s wife.
Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden has announced sanctions against Russian banks. And wealthy state officials after he called for the launch of Moscow’s attack on Ukraine.
Russian invasion of Ukraine
“This is the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine,” Biden said in a televised speech at the White House.
Biden emphasized that the move “is only the first step in responding to Russian President. Vladimir Putin’s call for a greater part of Ukraine.
Winnick was born in Etobicoke, Ontario, and is a native of Ukraine. She spoke Ukrainian as her first language and did not start speaking English until she was eight years old. She started training in karate at the age of seven.And earned his first black belt at the age of 13. By the time he was 21, he had started three Taekwondo schools. He taught the characters Taekwondo and the defense while graduating with a degree in kinesiology from the University of York, Toronto. She studied at William Esper Studio and is an alumna.
Winnick is a natural American citizen.
She has appeared in numerous films, including Stand Up Guys, Failure to Launch, Love & Other Drugs, and Murderers. He has a guest star on many TV shows, especially House, The Glades, Bones, Law & Order, Law & Order. Criminal Intent, CSI, CSI: NY, CSI: Miami, Criminal Minds, Person of Interest, and Nikita. In her role in Bones, she introduced Hannah Burley. A military journalist who had been sent to cover the Afghan war. And became the romantic interest of main character Seeley Booth.
Comedy film Cold Souls
Winnick starred in the comedy film Cold Souls, which premiered around the world at the Sundance Film Festival 2009. In 2011, she starred in the role of CW detective Nikita. In 2013, she starred in Charles Swan III’s A Glimpse Inside the Mind. And appeared in the comedy Art of the Steal.

Vikings
She also joined the History Channel’s Vikings, playing the role of Lagertha, a prominent figure in Viking history. In July 2017, Winnick announced on his Twitter account because he had participated in what was thought to be a film project, and that it would be announced at San Diego Comic-Con International. He was later portrayed as the lead character in the Nazi Zombies mode of the video game Call of Duty: WWII.
In July 2018, it was announced that Winnick had been cast in a series of Christine “C.G.” Gavin on the Netflix series, Wu Assassins.
In February 2020, Winnick announced her starring in Jenny Hoyt’s classic role series in the ABC crime drama series Big Sky.
