Snoop Dogg and singer Kelly Clarkson will host the new American Song Contest, which has been linked to the long-running Eurovision Song Contest.
The live singing competition will feature artists from all 50 states.
Snoop Dogg said he was honored to sing “along with Lil sis Kelly Clarkson, better known as Miss Texas”.
Clarkson added: “I have always been a fan of and love the idea of Eurovision. And I am very excited to bring this music to America.”

The star became famous for winning the first season of American Idol in 2002. added. “I am so excited to be working with Snoop. And I can’t wait to see all the provinces represented by the artists who sing their songs.
The competition will feature 56 artists, duos, or bands – one from each province. As well as the capital Washington.
The eight-week television program will begin airing on March 21 on NBC, with the grand finale scheduled for May 9.
The Eurovision Song Contest has been a pillar on the European showbiz calendar and beyond since its inception in 1956.
This year’s event will be in Turin after Italian rock band Måneskin won in 2021. With its hit song Zitti E Buoni – which became the UK’s top 20 hit song.
Their victory was watched by an average of 7.8 million TV viewers on BBC One UK, making it the most-watched finalist since 2014.
American Song Contest
The news of the American Song Contest comes after Snoop Dogg’s performance with Dr. Dre, Eminem, Mary J Blige, and Kendrick Lamar on Sunday’s Super Bowl break program.
He said at the time that “Snoop Dogg works all over the world so he can get into any camp – especially a camp that can make a sheet [;] [a] nd, No-Limit hand makes material. They do something tangible” to the artist. And they know that Snoop What kind of shit dog should be. That’s why it’s so strong. ” [sic] Some of his albums on No Limit were No Limit Top Dogg in 1999 (selling more than 1,510,000 copies) and Tha Last Meal in 2000 (selling more than 2,100,000).
In 2002, he released the album Paid the Cost to Be da Bo $$, on Priority / Capitol / EMI, which sold more than 1,310,000 copies. The album featured the hit songs “From the Church to da Palace” and “Beautiful”, which included Pharrell guest vocals. At this stage in his career, Snoop Dogg had abandoned his “gangster” and adopted a “pimp” photo.
Snoop signed to Geffen Records
In June 2004, Snoop signed to Geffen Records / Star Trak Entertainment, both distributed by Interscope Records; Star Trak is led by two co-producers Neptunes,  who produced several tracks for the 2004 Snoop release R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta): The Masterpiece. His third release was “Signs”, featuring Justin Timberlake and Charlie Wilson, who entered the UK chart at No. 2. This was his highest entry on the UK chart. Snoop Dogg joined Warren G and Nate Dogg to form 213 bands and released The Hard Way in 2004. Coming out at No.4 on the Billboard 200 and No.1 on top R&B / Hip-Hop Albums, it included one called “Groupie Nothing”. Snoop Dogg appeared in Korn’s music video for “Twisted Transistor” along with another rapper Lil Jon, Xzibit, and David Banner,
Snoop Dogg appeared on two of Ice Cube’s 2006 albums Laugh Now, Cry Later, including “Go to Church”, and a few Cali Iz Active tracks by Tha Dogg Pound in 2006 that year. Two other songs by Snoop include Too $ hort’s guest song “Keep Bouncing” (and Will.i.am’s Black Eyed Peas) and Coolio’s “Gangsta Walk”.
