Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi expressed these views when involved in the six-country Foreign Ministers’ Video Conference on Joint Response to COVID-19. He praised the conference’s main deliverables, which included the China-South Asia Emergency Materials Reserve and the China-South Asia Poverty Alleviation Cooperative Development Center.
Pakistan believes that economic and human welfare should be at the core of the regional growth model. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) will emerge as international transport, communication, and economic activity hubs.
