iTunes: Welcome to the team! Bring your songs. While music streaming services are gaining momentum in the market, many music lovers prefer to download and store their music locally. Apple iTunes is still one of the most popular ways to store your music on your hard drive. The sad news is that it is not easy to sync your iTunes library with an Android device. This is obvious, as it is an Apple product, and it works best with iPhones.
You will need to go through a few more steps to get everything running between iTunes and Android devices. There are a few ways to transfer your music from it to any Android phone or tablet, which we have covered below. Look at the complete guide and decide which method is best for you.
An easy way to transfer music from it to Android is to transfer files manually. First, find the music file by opening it, click on the three-dot menu button next to the song you want to transfer, and then click Show in Windows Explorer. Then, simply copy and paste the song or music folders into your Android device using the USB cable.
Copy your music files manually. A small technical challenge to transfer music files to your Android device is to copy them manually. All you need is a USB cable to connect your phone to your computer, and a little patience.
How to Copy iTunes Music on Android Manually:
Create a new folder on your PC desktop.
ITunes automatically saves its files in Music> iTunes> iTunes Media. Go there and find the songs you want to transfer. Alternatively, you can find a song stored locally by opening iTunes, clicking on the three-dot menu button next to the song you want to transfer, and selecting Show in Windows Explorer.
Select and right-click the files you want to move and select Copy.
Scroll to the folder you created, right-click on an empty space, and select Paste.
Connect your Android device to your computer with a USB cable. You may need to adjust your phone settings to transfer files via USB (option should appear in your notifications).
Navigate to the folder where you save the music files. Select the songs you want to transfer, right-click them, and select Copy.
Navigate to the music folder on your Android device.
Right-click anywhere in the folder and select Paste.
Your music is now on your Android phone!
This method can be tedious if you want to copy over each song rather than the entire album. Depending on the Android music player you are using, you may also lose album art and tracking metadata. Remember that iTunes uses .m4a files for songs, which means you need a compatible player, or you may want to convert songs before transferring them to your Android device.
Sync iTunes and YouTube Music
The cloud has changed the way people use their files, and music is no different. With YouTube Music, you can sync your entire iTunes library to the cloud and listen to it wherever you go. It is the easiest way to sync a large number of files from iTunes to Android.
There are, however, a few important warnings. First, you will need an internet connection, at least the initial setup. You may also need to use data to play your music, as it will reside in the cloud. You can download songs to play locally, however. Another issue is that there are approximately 100,000 songs uploaded, but that is a large number that most people will not have a problem with.
How to Transfer iTunes Music through YouTube Music:
Go to music.youtube.com and log in.
Click your profile photo in the top right corner.
Select Upload music.
ITunes saves its files in Music> iTunes> iTunes Media> Music automatically. Go there and find the songs you want to transfer.
Alternatively, you can find a song stored locally by opening iTunes, clicking on the three-dot menu button next to the song you want to transfer, and selecting Show in Windows Explorer.
Select the songs you want to upload to YouTube music and click Open.
Songs will be uploaded and displayed in your YouTube Music library. Enjoy!
Stream iTunes on Android with Apple Music
If you do not want to completely abandon the Apple / iOS ecosystem, Apple Music is a great way to access it on Android. There is no iTunes version for Android, but Apple Music is actually in the Google Play Store. Like YouTube Music, it lets you stream your entire iTunes library from your Android phone or any other device by simply logging in to your Apple Account.
Apple Music allows you to stream 50 million songs and listen to selected playlists, but there is more to it than that. Unlike Spotify, there is no free version. To stream iTunes music on Android, you will need to pay a monthly subscription fee of $ 9.99. If that’s not a dealbreaker, here’s how to do it.
How to Stream iTunes on Android with Apple Music:
Open iTunes on your PC.
Navigate to Edit> Favorites.
On the General tab, open iCloud Music Library and click OK. If you do not have an Apple Music subscription, the option will not be available.
Download the Apple Music app on your Android device.
Sign in with your Apple ID. Your music must be available for streaming.
If you can’t find your iTunes music, there are some ways to fix it:
Be sure to sign in to the same Apple ID on both devices.
Update the app to be the latest version on all devices.
Update your iCloud library by going to File> Library> Update iCloud Music Library to iTunes.
Syncing iTunes and Android with a third party application
Many third-party applications allow you to transfer your music directly to Android. One of our favorites is the Windows doubleTwist app for Windows. This app allows you to transfer your playlists, music, and videos from iTunes to your Android phone.
When syncing files using doubleTwist, note that the copied music files will be stored in the music folder within the internal memory of the phone or tablet.
