Facetime calls : Here’s how to schedule FaceTime calls on iOS 15 by sharing a link with other people
Want to know how to set up calls on iOS 15? FaceTime is discovering many new features in iOS 15, and the main among them is the ability to schedule a FaceTime call using the web link you send to other people.
If that sounds familiar, make good use of the coronavirus by relying on the best video chat apps. In apps like Zoom, Google Meet and others, you can create a web link where people can click to join your call. Now the next FaceTime suit.
Adding a FaceTime web link can be useful if not all participants will be ready at once, as well as allowing people on other non-Apple platforms and devices to join the call. It also allows people to create a calendar event and a reminder to join a future call.
And of course, there are many reasons for making more FaceTime calls on iOS 15. Apple’s new video chat app now lets you watch videos and enjoy music collaboratively with the new SharePlay feature. There are visual interface improvements on FaceTime and iOS 15 as well, with New Shape Mode in the background for video calls.
Here’s how to schedule FaceTime calls with a web link on iOS 15, using the currently available public beta version of iOS 15.
How to edit FaceTime calls on iOS 15
- Download the FaceTime app on your iPhone.
- Tap the “Create link” button at the top left.
- Choose how you want to share the link. You can share your FaceTime link using AirDrop, Messages, Email, and other options. Or tap Copy to copy the link to the clipboard.
- Optionally, tap the Add Name link to name this call: Meeting Planning, for example.
- The meeting now appears under the heading Future. You can tap an item to join the call.
- When you join a call to a link, you will be notified to enter a name, if you wish.
- Some people in the call will be notified when someone joins the link, and have the option of allowing them to join the call or not.

Open the FaceTime app and sign in with your Apple ID. You can also do this in Settings> FaceTime.
When using an iPhone, FaceTime automatically registers your phone number.
If you use an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, you can register your email address:
Tap FaceTime, then tap Use your FaceTime Apple ID.
Sign in with your Apple ID.
Call with FaceTime
To make a FaceTime call, you need a personal phone number or a registered email address. There are several ways to make a FaceTime call:
n FaceTime app, tap New FaceTime and type in that person’s phone number or email address. Tap a number or address, then tap the audio button or FaceTime.
If you have a person’s phone number or email address stored in contacts, 3 you can start typing their names and then tap the name when it appears. Then tap the audio button or FaceTime.
Tap the FaceTime icon in the phone app to switch to FaceTime.
Answer a FaceTime call with a waiting call
End & Receive: End the current call and receive the incoming call.
Hold and receive: Accept incoming calls and hold current calls.
Downgrade: Lower the incoming call.
