The European Union announced on Tuesday that its member countries would send much-needed oxygen, medications, and medical equipment to India.

This assistance is in line with the concerted initiative by European union member states ongoing to pool their resources in reacting quickly to India’s troubling epidemiological situation.

In the meantime, in a tweet, Janez Lenari, Commissioner for Crisis Management, said, “The EU stands in complete solidarity with the Indian people and is ready to do whatever we can to help them at this crucial moment.” I’d like to thank our Member States for their many generous offers of assistance, demonstrating that the EU is a reliable partner and comrade in times of need.”
