Pakistani nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan, 85, died Sunday morning after his health deteriorated.

Doctors tried their best to save the life of a well-known scientist, however, and were unable to do so when he passed away at 7:04 a.m. Doctors said Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan had died when his lungs collapsed.

Rasheed has confirmed that the government will give a state funeral to a scientist to honor his work in Pakistan.
Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan became a national hero overnight, not only in Pakistan but also in the Islamic world, while in May 1998 Pakistan provided an appropriate response to India by conducting its nuclear tests.
After the test, Pakistan became the only nuclear power plant in the Islamic world and the seventh most powerful nuclear weapon in the world. Pakistan’s nuclear weapons have kept the Indian aggression out of control.

Planning and Development Minister Asad Umar prayed for the soul of Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan after hearing about his passing.

Defense Minister Parvez Khattak said he was “deeply saddened” by the news of Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan’s death. Adding that “Pakistan will honor its duties to the nation.”
Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood highly praised the nuclear scientist, calling him “the originator of Pakistan’s nuclear program”.
“It is sad to hear of the death of Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan. Because he was a pioneer in Pakistan’s nuclear program and made a significant contribution to our security. May his soul flourish,” Twitter said.
Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said the death of Dr A Q Khan had been a loss to the nation.
Maulana Tariq Jameel prayed for the soul
Muslim scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel prayed for the soul of the deceased and as appreciated his services to Pakistan.
“Dr A Q Khan has been a valuable asset in Pakistan,” Twitter said. Because “He has played a key role in ensuring that Pakistan becomes a nuclear state.”
