Dizzee Rascal pushed and injured her ex-fiancée while taking their children out, the court heard.
The rapper, whose real name is Dylan Kwabena Mills, is accused of assaulting Cassandra Jones in Streatham, south London, on June 8, 2021.
The Wimbledon Magistrate’s Court heard the 36-year-old man “stormed” the house, put his forehead on Ms Jones and “pushed her down”.
Mr Mills, of Sevenoaks in Kent, denies beating him.
Ms. Jones and the grime artist, whose songs include Bonkers. And Dance Wiv Me, had two children before splitting up in February 2021.
The court was told the alleged assault took place in a “domestic dispute”. When the two had an argument when they left their daughter in the area.
Prosecutor Helena Duong said at the time of the incident. Mr Mills “became very angry and started making mistakes. Hitting his head three times in the fridge with his son in his arms”.

Ms Jones told the court her ex-boyfriend Dizzee Rascal was “exhausted” and “almost abandoned” their son.
Dizzee Rascal said he “put his forehead on my forehead. And pushed me into the room”, adding that it was not “head to head”.
Ms Jones also claimed that she had been. “arrested” by Mr Mills which meant he “fell to the ground”, causing bruises and bruises on his left arm.
‘Domestic Violence’
However, Sally Bennett-Jenkins QC, defender, questioned the “inconsistency” of several witness statements Ms. Jones made and argued that the two had been shouting.
Ms Jones responded that she had “kept shouting to get my son back”.
“I do not understand why you left me,” he said. “I left you because of domestic violence,” Dizzee Rascal said.
Asked why he wrote that he “threw” her down with a single statement instead of “stabbed her”, she replied that she was “shocked by what happened”.
“I’m sorry to use the wrong word but what happened. Happened and what I can do to tell my truth,” Dizzee Rascal added.
The case is ongoing.
