Discord emoji: Start revealing yourself with the new emoji!
Discord is famous for its use of custom emoji. If you don’t know, emojis are small images that work just like any other character you can enter using your keyboard. Discord allows you to use “server-based” emoji that do not appear on the emoji keyboard built into your smartphone. Additionally, these emoji are only available throughout Discord on desktop and mobile.
How does these emojis work?
Emoji are incredibly important to the environment. Unlike the usual emoji you get on your Android or iOS keyboard, Discord allows users to upload custom emoji to their own or moderating servers.
Emoji are available in the emoji menu. This is achieved by clicking on the far right button of the message field such as emoji.
Emojis are common against animated emoji
There are two main types of emoji: standard emoji and animated emoji.

These do not move if you move the cursor over them.
As a free user, you can use all the common emojis from the server on that server. For example, if you are not a paid Discord Nitro subscriber, you will only be able to use the first 16 emojis on the Discord “Going Quantum’s Sushi Shack” server shown above. You will also not be able to use any emoji from other servers you have joined.
They move when they move high.
Discord Nitro subscribers can use animated emoji on Discord whenever they want. They can also use emojis from other servers on any server — or message line — that they want.
Using emojis (Discord Nitro)
Discord Nitro subscribers get access to many additional benefits. Of those benefits, perhaps the most significant in everyday use would be cartoon emojis.
Any GIF up to 256kb in size can be converted to animated emoji.
Using emojis from other servers (Discord Nitro)
If you have subscribed to Discord Nitro, you can use any emojis on any server you want, as long as your existing server allows you to use External Stickers. This is a role permit that can be opened or closed.
At the same time, if you add a lot of custom emoji to server, Discord Nitro subscribers who are part of your server can use your server emoji on other servers.
